General Bylaws (Excerpt)
- First and foremost, we are a
BROTHERHOOD.
- All Brothers owe love and
respect to one another.
- A Brother WILL NOT jeopardize
another Brothers' welfare by putting him in a position of legal
difficulty.
- A Brothers' property is just
that, HIS. This includes his motorcycle, lady, etc.
- All Brothers will respect
another Brothers' property.
- All patch holders will give
respect to all clubs until such respect is not returned. We reserve
the right of self defense.
- No Member or prospective
member will strike another Member or prospective member. This does not
apply to the Sgt. at Arms while in the performance of his duties.
MEMBERSHIP
- Applicant must prove
eligibility by presentation of form DD214 with his application (or
Active Duty ID).
- Applicant must have served in
any branch of the Armed Forces in an active duty status for a minimum
of two (2) years. National Guard and Reserve members must have served
for a minimum of six (6) years or have been on active duty to meet the
two (2) year requirement. The time requirement will be waived for
applicants who have served in a combat zone. Time in combat zone must
be reflected on the applicants form DD214.
- The form DD214 must
demonstrate Honorable, General, or Medical as a condition of release
from active duty.
- All Members must own at least
one (1) motorcycle that has at least a 750cc engine. (Harley Davidson
preferred). Motorcycle must be custom, cruiser, or three wheeler. (NO
CROTCH ROCKETS!!!) (Exception: The Dedicated Chase Vehicle Driver may
be excused from this rule by consensus of local chapter officers)
- All applicants will be
expected to pass through a probationary/prospective member period.
- All applicants will be
accepted as members, provided there is not more than one (1) NO vote
cast by the Chapter Membership.
- Any applicant or member found
to have falsified or provided inaccurate information on his
application or form DD214 will be immediately expelled from the Club
in bad standing, and any request for information on this person by
others shall be honored.
PROBATIONARY/PROSPECTIVE
MEMBERS
- A person who wishes to join
the Club should let his intentions be known to membership. Then he may
begin to associate with members until an active member in good
standing decides to sponsor him.
- Probationary/Prospective
period will be a minimum of three months.
- Probationary/Prospective
members will wear vest with bottom rocker and service designator only.
- Probationary/Prospective
members will wear their vest at meetings, runs, and club functions.
- Probationary/Prospective
members are required to attend all club meetings. They will have NO
voice and NO vote at the meetings.
- When a
probationary/prospective member is brought up for induction, a vote
will be taken by active members and must be no more than one (1) NO
vote.
- Any probationary/prospective
not reaching member status within six (6) months shall be expelled.
- Sponsors are expected to treat
their probationary/prospective in such a manner as to credit and honor
the reputation of the club.
COLORS
- Club Colors will be restricted
to leather or denim vest.
- Colors remain Club property.
- The back of the vest will be
restricted to approved Club Colors.
- Wearing of Colors is mandatory
at all Club functions.
- Colors are never to be worn in
a cage.
- Patches for Members' wives and
or ladies will be available and purchased only by Club Members.
- A member who leaves the
club must turn in his Colors, and any other items that denote
membership in the club.
